INSTRUCTIONS

Using color A ch 6, join with slip st in 6th ch from hook to form a ring.

Round 1: Ch 3, 2 dc in ring, ch 2, *3 dc in ring, ch 2, repeat from * twice; join with slip st in top of beg ch-3. (12 dc)

Round 2: Ch 5 counts as dc plus ch 2 sp, *(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in ch-2 corner sp, ch 2, repeat from * twice, (3 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in last ch-2 sp; join with slip st in 3rd ch of beg ch-5. (24 dc, 8 ch-2 sps)

Round 3: Ch 3, 2 dc in ch-2 sp, *dc in next 3 sts, (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in corner sp, dc in next 3 sts, 2 dc in ch-2 sp, repeat from * twice, dc in next 3 sts, (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in corner, dc in next 2 sts; join with slip st in beg ch-3. Finish off. (56 dc, 4 ch-2 sps)

Round 4: Using color B join with slip st in any corner, ch 3, (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in corner, *sk 2 sts, (3 dc in next st, sk 3 sts) repeat across to corner, **(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in corner sp,* repeat from * to * twice and from * to ** once; join with slip st in top of beg ch-3. Finish off. (60 dc, 4 ch-2 sps)

Round 5: Using color A join with slip st in any corner, ch 3, (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in corner, *sk 1 st, dc in next 13 sts, sk last st, **(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in corner,* repeat from * to * twice and from * to ** once; join with slip st in top of beg ch-3. Finish off. (76 dc, 4 ch-2 sps)

Round 6: Using color B join with slip st in any corner, ch 3, (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in corner, *sk 3 sts, 3 dc in next st, (sk 2 sts, 3 dc in next st) repeat four times, sk last 3 sts, **(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in corner sp,* repeat from * to * twice and from * to ** once; join with slip st in top of beg ch-3. Measure square. If square is 7”x7” finish off. (84 dc, 4 ch-2 sps)

Note: If square is not 7”x7” work Round 7
Round 7: Ch 1, sc in same st, sc in next 2 sts, (2 sc, ch 1, 2 sc) in corner, *sc across to corner, **(2 sc, ch 1, 2 sc) in corner,* repeat from * to twice, sc across to beg sc, join with slip st in beg sc. Finish off. (100 sc, 4 ch-1 sps)
