Bernat Baby Sport 3 ply medium worsted
Color A: Soft Yellow
Color B: White
Color C: Peach Blossom
Color D: Mint
Color E: Light Lilac
Color F: Pink

Hook Size: G - 6 - 4.25 MM square size: 6” x 6”


FOR A 7” X 7” SQUARE USE 4 PLY MEDIUM WORSTED YARN AND
Hook Size: H – 8 - 5.00 MM square size: 7” x 7”

Special Stitches:
Basic stitch guide used in crochet:

Adjustable ring
Make a slip knot with your yarn leaving 3" long tail, leaving center loop open. Insert hook in top loop. Yarn over and draw up loop. This is your Chain 1. (Do not count this as your first sc). Crochet over center loop and the yarn tail for the designated # of stitches in the first round. When finished, pull the tail to close the ring.

INSTRUCTIONS for tri-color flower square:

Round 1: Using color A, ch 4, 11 dc’s in first ch, join with slip st to top of beg ch 4 or use the Adjustable Ring Method above and work 12 dc’s in ring. Finish off. (12 dc)

Round 2: Join color B in any st with a slip st, ch 3, counts as dc now and throughout, 2 dc in same st, ch 2, 3 dc in next st, ch 2, sk 1 st, * (3 dc in next st, ch 2, 3 dc in next st, ch 2, sk 1 st) repeat from * around, join with slip st in top of beg ch-3. Finish off. (24 dc, 8 ch-2 sps)


Round 3: Join color C in any ch-2 sp with a slip st, ch 1, sc in ch-2 sp, 5 dc in same ch-2 sp, sc in same ch-2 sp, petal made *(sc in next ch-2 sp, 5 dc in same ch-2 sp, sc in same ch-2 sp), repeat from * around, join with slip st in beg sc. Finish off. (40 dc, 16 sc)



Round 4: Join color B in the first sc of any petal with a slip st, ch 8, counts as dc plus ch-5, dc in same st, *ch 4, sk petal, hdc in first sc of next petal, ch 4, skip petal ** (dc, ch 5, dc) in first sc of next petal,* repeat from * to * 2 times and from * to ** 1 time, join with slip st in 3rd ch of beg ch-8. (8 dc, 4 hdc, 5 ch-5 sps, 8 ch-4 sps)



Round 5: Slip st to ch-5 sp, ch 3, (2 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in ch-5 sp corner made, *(5 dc in next ch-4 sp) twice, **(3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in corner,* repeat from * to * 2 times and from * to ** 1 time, join with slip st in top of beg ch-3. Finish off. (64 dc, 4 ch-3 sps)



Round 6: Join color D with a slip st in any corner sp, ch 1, (sc, ch 2, sc) in corner sp, *sc in next 16 dc’s, ** (sc, ch 2, sc) in corner,* repeat from * to * 2 times and from * to ** once, join with slip st in beg sc. Finish off. (64 sc, 4 ch-2 sps)

Round 7: Join color E with slip st any ch-2 corner sp, ch 3, (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in ch-2 sp, sk sc in corner sp, *dc in backloop of next 16 sc’s, sk last sc in corner sp, **(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in ch-2 sp, sk last sc in corner sp* repeat from * to * 2 times and from * to ** 1 time, join with slip st in top of beg ch-3. Finish off. (88 dc, 4 ch-2 sps)

INSTRUCTIONS for single color flower:

Round 1: Using color C, ch 4, 11 dc’s in first ch, join with slip st to top of beg ch 4 or use the Adjustable Ring Method above and work 12 dc’s in ring. (12 dc)

Round 2: Ch 3, counts as dc now and throughout, 2 dc in same st, ch 2, 3 dc in next st, ch 2, sk 1 st, * (3 dc in next st, ch 2, 3 dc in next st, ch 2, sk 1 st) repeat from * around, join with slip st in top of beg ch-3. (24 dc, 8 ch-2 sps)

Round 3: Slip st to ch-2 sp, ch 1, sc in ch-2 sp, 5 dc in same ch-2 sp, sc in same ch-2 sp, petal made *(sc in next ch-2 sp, 5 dc in same ch-2 sp, sc in same ch-2 sp), repeat from * around, join with slip st in beg sc. Finish off. (40 dc, 16 sc)
